Jennifer Swanson, MMT, MT-BC, is a board certified music therapist. She received her Masters in Music Therapy from Temple University. She developed the music therapy program for a hospice agency in the greater Philadelphia area, and spent several years there as music therapist. She currently works part time as a Child Bereavement Counselor through another hospice in the Philadelphia area.
Jennifer also maintains a growing private practice, working with people of various ages and backgrounds. Jennifer specializes in grief/loss, LGBTQIA issues, chronic/terminal illness, autism, intellectual disabilities, and issues surrounding anxiety. In order to expand her private practice and to better serve the Philadelphia area, she partnered with her colleague, Julie Lipson, MA, MT-BC, founder of Inner Rhythms Music Therapy.
Jennifer has presented at regional and national conferences on topics in music therapy, and has served the Mid-Atlantic Region of the American Music Therapy Association in various capacities. She currently serves as the Vice President of Conference Planning on the MAR Executive Board.
